Haley Johnson
Haley
Johnson is a mass of exposed ganglia. She feels a draft with
all the windows closed. Naturally, she's misunderstood, but
understands we're all misunderstood. That honest wisdom drove Haley
to open her own shop, HJDC, in 1992. Numerous awards and countless
accolades later, she's grown up to understand the power of brave
clients like Blue Q, Peace Coffee and Jane Jenni, who she loves
and serves with devotion, despite the exasperation they sometimes
provide. Haley feels fortunate to have achieved any success,
but easily laughs it off. After all, she sees more imagination
and creativity in 2 minutes with her nieces and nephews than she's
ever felt capable of generating in her 20 years of trying. Please
do not attempt to tickle her.
Scott Stowell
Scott
Stowell is the proprietor of Open, a design studio that works with clients to create rewarding experiences for people that look, read,
and think. Open projects include redesigns of the tv networks Bravo,
Nick at Nite and Trio; strategy and identity work for corporate and non-profit clients; and multimedia presentations for Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Before starting Open, Scott was the art director of Benetton's
Colors magazine in Rome and a senior designer at M&Co. New York. Before
that, he received a BFA in graphic design from Rhode Island School
of Design. A former vice president of AIGA New York, Scott writes
and lectures about design and teaches at Yale University and the
School of Visual Arts. |
